Dear friends
I want to thank God this morning, he has made such an easy way to talk to him at anytime - we can simply whisper a prayer. No matter who we are, no matter where we are, no matter what confronts us - we can simply whisper a prayer.
I remember this little song I learned in Sunday School here are the words
1 Whisper a pray’er in the morning,
Whisper a pray’r at noon;
Whisper a pray’r in the ev’ning,
To keep your heart in tune.
2 God answers pray’r in the morning,
God answers pray’r at noon;
God answers pray’r in the ev’ning,
To keep your heart in tune.
3 Jesus may come in the morning,
Jesus may come at noon;
Jesus may come in the ev’ning,
So keep your heart in tune.
God wants to have relationship with us. He has given us all we need to access his presence consistently
Prayer - is our line of communication with God. Imagine we can do this anytime and anywhere. God created this form of com
Repentance - so we never need to be seperated from him. We need to repent of known and unknown sins and also to ask God to show us the truth about ourselves - show us if there be any wicked ways in us and lead us in the way everlasting (Psalm 51). Here is a powerful quote by Charles Spurgeon: Repentance grows as faith grows. Do not make any mistake about it; repentance is not a thing of days and weeks, a temporary penance to be got over as fast as possible! No; it is the grace of a lifetime, like faith itself. God's little children repent, and so do the young men and the fathers. Repentance is the inseparable companion of faith. Amen. Repentance keeps us connected to God’s heart.
Thanksgiving, praise, worship and adoration should automatically flow from our heart when we discover God in an intimate way. Even when we don’t feel like it, bring God the sacrifice of praise and watch how you become refreshed and strengthened as you access God’s presence. Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name
Continuous prayer - pray without ceasing as you abide in his presence
So remember dear friends no matter what you may face today, this week - whisper a prayer.
Some may say as they walked through the toughest times of their life - where were you God? He was right there waiting for you to just simply whisper a prayer.
I can really testify of this - God is near to the broken hearted. I could not have made it through, if God didn't bring me to where I am. I made it here because of his great grace and mercy, he upheld me with his righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10)
So remember my friends whereever you may be right now just simply WHISPER A PRAYER just to say thank you Lord that you chose to draw us close and caused us to know you in a deep and intimate way.
Amen and Amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
