Good morning dear friends
As I meditated on the Lord in the wee hours of the morning, this is what he laid on my heart to share with you
Psalm 37:4/5 Amplified
4 Delight yourself in the Lord,
And He will give you the desires and petitions of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord;
Trust in Him also and He will do it.
All of us are waiting on something, these verses above summarize what we should do while we wait.
Be assured that God will do what he promised to do for you - trust him! Waiting requires a special grace. No matter how many years I wait I don’t think it gets any easier, but God gives us a grace to endure and gives us joy and peace divine.
We must be careful to discern the season we are in and none of the seasons can be forfeited along our life's journey.
We delight ourselves in God because we praise and worship him, not just for what he can do but because of who he is.
To "delight yourself in the Lord" means to find true joy, peace, and fulfillment in God, prioritizing His character and presence over worldly desires, and trusting in His promises
Amen
As I looked back on the waiting seasons of my life, I truly appreciate those times God caused me to wait.
Here are some of the benefits of the waiting season:
1 It is a preparation season and we gain downloads of the anointing and power so we can be in readiness to pour out in the next season
2 From the experiences we walk through, we gain wisdom and knowledge
3 We prove God as we discover different dimensions of his character - we prove that God is the only one who will heal us, protect us,
provide for us, fight for us and so much more
4 We truly learn to pray in depth and depend on God more and more.
5 We grow to be such stalwarts as we become so stable and unmovable, rooted and grounded in God’s love.
6 We gain character as we become more Christlike in the crucible of the fire. The brokenness produces patience, endurance long suffering, self controll and much more
7 Strength is an invaluable characteristic gained. This means that in the next season we are in readiness for whatever we face. It is as if circumstances do not move us easily - many things become as "water rolling off a duck's back" as we have experienced and navigated through that situation before.
There is so much more to gain as we wait, these are a few.
Won't you delight yourself in him no matter what surrounds you or whatever you're walking through - count your blessings, walk with an attitude of gratitudeand you will find your days will be spent in contentment - joy and peace in the Lord as you abide in his presence.
Amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
