What is the opposing side offering?

A very profound thought that overwhelmed me; what is the opposing side offering?

The notion of “purpose of life” in the sense of “the intention of the creator” is undefined in the atheist world. For atheist there is no creator-given or god-given purpose for life.

Psalm 24:1, “the earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein.” While Christianity is Christ-centered, the opposing side is self-centered. Self-centeredness is all about one’s own purpose, values, focus, personal fulfillment, relationships, social contribution and everything surrounding one’s personal life. Their experiences and benefits are subjective and very wide. The unbelief of an afterlife and a life governed by a Heavenly Being in their eyes cannot be rationalized.

Christianity offers a future, evidenced in the word of God (Revelation 21). Through Christianity, the path of salvation and eternal life is created and made possible by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christianity offers security, purpose, self-worth through the forgiveness of sin. “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting door; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is that King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle,” Psalm 24:7&8. I choose a life that has a future, a future with my God. The alternative is a life of damnation. What choose you?
