Text for the day : Exodus 24:8

And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.

MESSAGE FOR THE DAY: The privileges we enjoy in this dispensation are so unique that we should live with precision and discipline. Our text says Moses took the blood and sprinkled it upon the people as the blood of the covenant. I try to imagine how it was, that as a priest, you kill a lamb and sprinkle the blood on the people, imagine going home from a service with blood stains. Reading through the old testament should make us appreciate the grace of God but sadly we trivialize it. The price of Christ on the cross has given us so many advantages, in those days you bring a lamb without blemish for sin offering, so technically only those who can afford it will offer a sin offering and be forgiven but God changed the ordinance for us, gave His son as a one time sacrifice for our sins to make us right with God always, a sacrifice that should make us live better lives so that we do not live in sin because Christ has paid the price. Oh, I weep for a generation that lacks so much wisdom and yet claims to know so much. We are blessed and we must not take it for granted._

The death of Christ changed the whole pattern for us, now we no longer have to take lambs to offer for us to be forgiven, we simply come boldly before his throne and obtain mercy. He made it easy but sadly we are trying to make it worthless by going deeper in sin everyday. You must know how blessed you are to be in a dispensation of grace. From our passage, when God came down in glory and rested on the mount, He only allowed Moses into the cloud of His presence but today, He has given us the privilege of His presence, the same presence that killed Uzzah when he tried to help the ark. *We trivialize the presence because we don't know what it means having the presence of God.* The holiness of God was so raw that unclean people were not allowed close to Him because the glory slayed them but as a father of love, He had to make a way for us to enjoy his presence even with our Human nature but we turn around and turn into something else. Today, most believers are not even conscious of the presence of God. We keep grieving the Holy spirit in us. How do we use the same body the Holy spirit occupies for fornication and feel okay about it. *When God rebuked David for his sins, he broke down fasting and praying but today's believers quote scriptures in pride when they should show brokenness. We are so blessed and privileged but we must not take it for granted.

Prayer:

Father, thank you for grace. Forgive us for trivializing your grace, help us truly appreciate your grace and mercy in Jesus precious Name
