Waiting?

Updated: Aug 13

Good morning beloved friends

These verses came to mind this morning as God prompted me to encourage you as you wait. Honestly, even after all these years, I still don't like waiting, but God has really given me the grace now to wait not just on him but IN HIM.

My friends you are in good company, because we all are waiting for something. The difference is we wait IN THE LORD.

For while we are waiting it is to God we look for he is our only source for everything.

I really understand these verses now

Isaiah 40:31

King James

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

To make this verse more clear by using The Amplified translation

Amplified

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him]

Will gain new strength and renew their power;

They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun];

They will run and not become weary,

They will walk and not grow tired

While we are waiting we are looking to God, it simply means we are hoping in him and still delighting ourselves in him.

Whatever we are waiting for it takes second place as God is our priority and though we have the power of choice, we only want what comes from God's hands as the answers because we know the Father's heart - he will only give us what is best for us.

Here is an adaptation

Hoping in the Lord takes the focus off your situation and places it on the Lord.

When you choose to hope in the Lord, the lens through which you view your circumstances shifts. Instead of looking around, you redirect your attention from the challenges you face onto God’s boundless power and his unwavering love for you. Hoping in the Lord is really an act of surrender, where you recognize the Lord is greater than any situation, any worry, or any anxiety you may experience.

The key to receiving God’s strength during life’s adversities is waiting and hoping. In those acts, you unlock the provisions required to navigate life's challenges. By cultivating a patient and hopeful spirit, you tap into the wellspring of resilience and fortitude that God has for you. This enables you to overcome any obstacle that may arise.

You can rest assured, for in God's strength, you will discover all you need to be strong in the face of life’s adversities. Wherever you are today, don’t stop hoping in the Lord, for that is the only way to renew your strength.

Amen amen

(Here ends the adaptation)

All over the word of God we see individuals who waited on God and God certainly did reward them greatly at the end of waiting. What could help is if you write God's promise about what you are waiting for not only on paper but on your mind and heart.

God is true to his promises

Hope in God, he will never disappoint you

Amen

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again
