Scripture for the day: Genesis 46:34

That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.

MESSAGE FOR THE DAY: Value places a demand on people to go the extra mile for you. It is a disadvantage not to have value. Our text says for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians. Isn't it fascinating that Joseph knows this but still invited his family to Egypt? Value will always make men break protocols for you. Technically there was no shepherd in Egypt until when Joseph's brothers came but they were given a whole city for themselves because Joseph's worth was too much to be ignored. Your level of value will determine your level of relevance. Joseph had delivered a nation from famine and had amassed wealth for Pharoah through his wisdom, Pharoah could not deny the relevance that Joseph had and had to welcome his family who were shepherds even though it was an abomination among them. Make sure to build value, value is a currency in the market of life. If you do not have it, you cannot matter much to men.

Grow your value, your value is your worth. It was David who longed for water and 3 of his mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines just to draw water for David. It was David who the people told to stay at home rather than go to battle with them because he was worth more than 10,000 of them. If people are not going the extra mile for you, don't get angry, check your value level in their life. There are people whose relevance cannot be over emphasized, what contribution have you made to society, what contribution have you made to humanity, who can testify of God's goodness because of you. Why should you always be at the begging end? When will you be an answered prayer to someone. Value decides how people mobilize their resources for you. The death of Jesus could sponsor redemption because of the value of his blood, many have died for the gospel but value distinguishes the death of Jesus from others. Your value will determine how far people are willing to go for you. Build value, build relevance, it begins with integrity and a heart of love.

Prayer:

Father, thank you for grace. Deliver us from anything affecting our value. Help us build relevance that nations cannot ignore in Jesus precious Name
