The Truth will set you free

Good morning dear friends

Let us talk about truth, the only truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6)

Jesus as the incarnate word of God, is the source of all truth and when the word of truth permeates our heart, mind and soul - the result is freedom. Freedom from the bondage and scourge of sin, freedom from the oppression of the enemy and freedom from every covenant established (many times in lack of knowledge) with the Kingdom of darkness.

John 8:31/32

31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free

Over the years my friends I have seen many going to other sources and going through deliverance session after session after session in search of freedom from the enemy's oppressive tactics to delay, hinder or block one from effectively fulfilling their God-given purpose and living the life more abundantly.

They actually believe that if the right people pray for them, they will be set free from demonic oppression.

Here is the absolute truth - deliverance is only 1% someone casting out a demon. For deliverance to be effective these steps must be followed:

1 In the first place if demonic oppression was involved, there has to be a "doorway" through which the enemy came and for him to stay there must be "legal ground". This "legal ground" could either be a generational or ancestral curse, unrepentant sin, unforgiveness and more. God will show what gave the enemy ground you if you ask him.

2 Renunciation must be done to effectively sever every connection with the Kingdom of darkness

3 Surrender every area of our life asking God to shine his glory in and through us.

4 The mind must be renewed with God’s truth found in his word. This word must be meditated upon and applied in one's life to have effect. Eg. If one used to have sinful behaviour in any area, God's word has his standard regarding the matter. This word activated in our life will produce a good fruit and will bring light and life. The word applied in our lives will cause us to live aligned to God's perfect will and his abundant blessings.

Galatians 6:8

For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life

There is only goodness, only fruitfulness, only the life more abundantly, only peace coming from living in God’s truth ie: Practising to live by the guidelines of his word.

Amen

As I said before if you want to walk in true freedom and liberty, the answer is not found in someone very powerful praying for you or casting out a demon, though God can use individuals to assist you in the process of deliverance - Cleaving to God as our deliverer and embracing his truth governed by his word, is life changing and life renewing.

Knowing the Truth will set one at liberty—free from sin, free from condemnation, and free from death (Romans 6:22; 8:1–2).

Jesus came on this earth not only for us to receive salvation, but also to destroy the works of the devil and to set the captives free.

If you understand this is God's will for you. Then you will accept no less, in all areas of your life.

I have not over the years interceded for anyone who didn't come into freedom and liberty as they walked in truth and were transformed by God’s word.

Freedom is your portion in Jesus name.

Walk in truth

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again

I like most of it Pastor J. Thank you for your work on these teachings shared. I might quibble a bit about there being potential or actual entry into the believer of the demonic. I believe the Bible shows that deception is possible, even in a believer, but not possession or "entry" into the believer by the demonic. The behaviours and lifestyle might very well look the same, perhaps, so I don't think there is a need to press the point here, but I agree wholeheartedly that Scripture and experience teach us that there is no question that walking in the truth of God's Word (in the Word, the Lord Jesus) releases us and empowers our freedom and growth. Bless…
