The Supernatural is not realistic by Minister Owen Mitchell

The Supernatural is not Realistic

This inspiration is inspired by a Pastor I had the privilege of listening to this past Sunday. The sermon was based on the topic Faith or Reality. He took us through the differences between these two most significant beliefs and its benefits.

His message had such a profoundness, it became my talking point and it also captivated my thoughts. Thanks be to God; I was able to realize the significant differences between reality and faith and how faith is the key that unlocks many doors. Oxford’s definition of realistic is, a sensible and practical idea of what can be achieved or expected. It represents familiar things in a way that is accurate or true to life. Faith is a complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

The Biblical definition of faith is, ”…. the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen,” Hebrew 11:1. Faith is not practical or sensible, its incomprehensible. This is the main issue people have with God. It is not realistic that a man can create the world, hence the big band theory. “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned,” 1 Corinthians 2:14.

Faith unlocks the supernatural which parts the Red Sea, tells Lazarus to come forth, opens blind eyes, feeds 5000 men with 5 loafs of bread and 2 fishes. Realistically this is not possible but supernaturally, “all things are possible to them that believe,” Mark 9:23. Emphasis being on faith, and with faith the possibilities are endless.

God Bless.
