The Strength of a Christian
I heard a quote from a well know pastor the other day which basically said, the world is oblivious to the things and the operations of God and the Christians have no idea of the power living on the inside of them.
“And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon me,” 2 Corinthians 12:9. How much of you does Christ have? Ephesians 3:16 says, “that He would grant you, according to His riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by the Spirit in the inner man.”
The strength of a Christian is defined as a supernatural power that moves an individual from self-reliance to relying on God’s grace and His love. God has given us, through the Holy Spirit, the ability and the capacity to handle all difficult circumstances. True strength stems from total submission and surrender to God’s will and His promises. A child of God must be connected to God to reap the benefits of His divine power.
God’s strength is not passive but active and it’s built up through exercising our spiritual muscle. This can only be achieved through constant prayer, worship and the reading of the Bible, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me,” Phillipians 4:13.
God Bless.
