The Spoken Word has Power

Good morning dear friends

As I meditated on God's word and listened to his voice carefully in the 3am to 4am watch, this is what the Lord impressed upon my heart.

What comes out of our mouth has such power - the power to change things, situations and lives.

There are many scientific studies which support what God's word says. Studies prove speaking life and words of blessings to plants and even ice crystals change the out-product of these. It is logical as all matter is made of components of "life" ie. atoms and molecules.

However, human beings have the special component of being connected to the Spirit of God and therefore existing in the place of "real life" and having creative power. What will you use that power to do? Give glory to God or create man made destructive tools eg. The tower of Babel, bombs, weapons for war and so much more. These destructive created things are temporal and cannot outlast God and his word. God IS the sovereign Lord and he has the final say. The only things that will last for eternity is whatever is established in his word.

1 Peter 1:23 - 25

23 for you have been born again [that is, reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] not of seed which is perishable but [from that which is] imperishable and immortal, that is, through the living and everlasting word of God.

24 For,

“All flesh is like grass,

And all its glory like the flower of grass.

The grass withers

And the flower falls off,

25 BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER.”

And this is the word [the good news of salvation] which was preached to you

With this in mind - think carefully what you are speaking out of your mouth. There is power in the things you speak. Heaven responds to the spoken word, the angels respond to the voice of HIS WORD and do his bidding (Psalm 103).

Conversely, the enemy and the Kingdom of darkness respond to what you speak out of your mouth. He is already defeated but is still allowed to buffet, plant thoughts and influence situations on this earth as he is called

the “prince of the power of the air” in Ephesians 2:2. He is the “ruler of this world” in John 12:31

He is the Prince but

JESUS CHRIST IS KING AND HE IS LORD.

The enemy has no power over bible believing, born again, spirit filled Christians.

These are the ways though that we may give way to the enemy....all related to what we speak out of our mouth

1 Complaining - it simply gives more power to the problem than we give to God and his word

2 Listen to this one carefully because this is where many of us operate in error.

We say we are "warriors" and we spend more time in warfare addressing the enemy than we do in Worship.

Do you know if we spend too much time calling the name of the enemy and speaking of his activities we are actually INVOKING HIS PRESENCE, more than we should

Spend time in Worship, the study of God's word, being transformed by God’s word by renewing the mind.

When you do this then your response in situations will be governed by God’s word spoken out of your mouth in faith.

Amen

3 Speaking more of what you FEEL over yourselves and any given situation, than what God says.

Let us ask God right now to deliver our mouths, hear this:

We will have a "mouth" (the vessel of speach) change

WHEN WE HAVE A HEART CHANGE

Speak life

Speak truth as measured by God's word

Speak love as measured by God’s character and nature

You WILL have what you SAY

(Mark 11:23)
