Testimony

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of their testimony,” Revelation 12:11.

The Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthian 11 gave his testimony in detail to the Corinthians. In verse 23-25 he said, “…. In stripes above measure, in prison more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews fives times received I forty stripes saved one. Thrice was I beaten with rod, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep.” In concluding his life’s journey he said, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith,” 2 Timothy 4:7.

The power of our testimony! Testimony is defined as a solemn declaration or affirmation made for the purpose of establishing or proving the acts of our Lord God. It is being a witness to word and the actions of our Lord. John said in John 1:7, “the same came as a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.” It also testifies of the power of God.

What is your testimony? What is it you have overcome or are overcoming? What is your story? I see the Bible as a living and a constant testimony of the word of God. When you share your testimony, it brings glory to God. It also demonstrates God’s power and His love. Our testimony promotes togetherness, it is our weapon and it leads to worship.
