Stay….
I felt inundated with the various things I needed to do and decisions to be made. I was overwhelmed with having to deal with deceptions, Isms, schisms and the battles I was fighting. Then I heard the voice of the Lord say “Stay”. “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee,” Isaiah 26:3.
Can you imagine, in the midst of all you are going through and in your mind it’s better to give up, you here a voice say, Stay. In Acts 27 while Paul was journeying to Italy to face Caesar, they faced many hardships at sea. Paul said in verse 10, “…. Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the landing and ship, but also of our lives.” In verse 31, “Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, except these abide (unless these men stay NKJV) in the ship, ye cannot be saved.”
In Genesis 8, after the Lord flooded the earth, before Noah, his family and the animals could exit the boat, it had to be safe to do so. Noah sent a raven then a dove, when the dove found no rest for her foot, she returned, vs 9. In vs. 10 the Bible says, “and he stayed yet another seven days ….” To stay is to remain and in remaining we activate faith. We become reliant on God who encompasses and borders us with His concepts and precepts. Our level of trust, endurance and obedience to God, mounts up like an eagle. The natural is left in the dust and the supernatural takes effect. Saints of God, STAY!
God Bless.
