Rejoice Always

Good morning Beloved
1 Thessalonians 5:16 - 18
16 Rejoice always and delight in your faith; 17 be unceasing and persistent in prayer; 18 in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus
Is it too difficult to do - Rejoice always?
These things come to mind as we move forward with thanksgiving
We can Rejoice because we know whose we are. We are held in the everlasting arms of our Abbah Father.
It is true we face trials of varying kinds but at the end of those past temporal things God's good will has always prevailed and been established. We have certainly proved God in a different aspect of his character, we not only prove him but we KNOW HIM as Healer, Deliverer, Provider, Protector, our everything.
We can rejoice, give thanksgiving, Praise him and Worship him, not just for what he can do but because of who he is. HE IS the Sovereign Lord who rules and reigns in Victory.
We can Rejoice because we know that this Abbah Father is faithful, merciful, loving and kind AND he has chosen to draw us close and reveal himself to us.
He did this for us to be triumphant and walk in Victory. If only we could see the unseen battles being fought for us.
We can rejoice because we just simply trust God above all the din, the noise and the turmoil. One of my favourite pictures is one of a huge rocky mountainside, beside the sea with a storm raging, the winds coming tumulously from very dark clouds, but this is what should strike us if you look closely you will see a bird safely tucked away protecting her young ones. Why is this so prolific? This is what Life looks like at times and yet like that bird we are protected and held in the cleft of God's arms. He will cause no harm to come to us and anything that comes from the natural effects of life we will overcome and God himself will be glorified.
That is truly why we can Rejoice and delight ourselves in God dear friends.
