Good morning dear friends
Peace is found in the centre of God’s will.
His perfect not permissive will.
Staying (dwelling, abiding) in God's presence is the best place to be and it is the place of peace.
The keys to staying in God's presence ultimately results from what we make our priority and focus.
Isaiah 26
3 “You will keep in [b]perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both [c]inclination and character],
Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].
4 “Trust [confidently] in the Lord forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner],
For the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages
Amen
Some may say Pastor you don't know what I am going through.....I can testify after shakings, shakings and more shakings, storm after storm after storm, much fiery trials, that God will keep you in his peace. HIS peace is not dependent on anything else but being in HIM!
When we live from the perspective of eternity we will understand that every single thing here on earth, God causes to work for our good and for his glory.
Let us be encouraged too by understanding that all these things here on this earth are temporal, so it is not about Living for earthly rewards, it's all about overcoming with a focus of an eternity (with rewards) spent with our Father.
James 1:2 - 4
2 Consider it nothing but joy, my [b]brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. 3 Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing
Yes my friends COUNT IT ALL JOY.
How do we count it all joy - simply accepting the things God doesn't change today, receiving what he provides for today with thanksgiving and living in contentment.
The human mind is so intricately created by God and think carefully on this - if we discipline our thoughts to stay in thanksgiving and focusing on God, then we truly have learned the "art" of being contented in the centre of God’s will for today.
1 Thessalonians 5:16 - 18
16 Rejoice always and delight in your faith; 17 be unceasing and persistent in prayer; 18 in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus
In other words God can do anything, he could change your situation today, right this very moment, but if he chooses not to - he won't just leave you, he will give you the grace, peace, strength, joy and comfort (all you need) as you walk through. Receive now dear friends
Amen
Let us choose to stay in God's peace no matter what we may face.
Amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
Pastor J
