Out with the old. In with the new by Marcel & Jacqueline Bruff

Out With the Old in with the New.

As we end this old year (2023) and enter into a new year (2024) I encourage you to maintain your focus on Christ.

Earlier today the phrase "out with the old, in with the new" cames to my mind. This is an expression used to convey the idea of replacing old things or ideas, with new ones.

Out with the old in with the new is also used in the context of making changes or transitions, and can apply to various aspects of life such as new business, different fashion, relationships, personal habits, or your spiritual life and walk with God.

The Bible states in second Corinthians 5:17, that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun. It speaks about leaving the old and embracing the new. As believers in Jesus Christ

We have seasons of separation and purification, old habits that must die in order for us to walk in newness.

I pray that as we are entering into a new year and ending this old year we must use the old, past experiences, good or bad, to renew our heart in a mature and positive relationship with Jesus on this journey of life.

One interpretation of the parable of Jesus regarding the new wine in old wine skin, represents a new body as we die to our old life.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Let us go forward in a deeper walk with Christ, forgetting the things that are behind that so easily beset. Let us walk into a fresh and new year with anticipation that he is able to keep that which we hsve committed unto him.
