Good morning Beloved
Obedience is really faith in action and there are some dimensions of the glory and miracles that can only be accessed with obedience.
Faith causes one to believe it is done and then causes us to move into action
Following God’s leading and instructions
(Trusting and obeying)
Here are some examples of God giving instructions, then the individuals obeyed and they were rewarded greatly with healing miracles.
Mark 3
1 And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand. 2 So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might [a]accuse Him. 3 And He said to the man who had the withered hand, [b]“Step forward.” 4 Then He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent. 5 And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored [c]as whole as the other
The man had to FIRST - stretch out his hand in obedience before he received his miracle.
Luke 17:11 - 14
11 Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. 13 And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
They obeyed the instruction to go and as they obeyed they were healed
Faith is proved when we walk in obedience.
In all my research of God's word, I have never seen one reward being procurred for an act of disobedience.
Our place may be assured with eternity through salvation, because that place is attained through believing. Romans 10:9 and 10.
However, obedience unlocks the earthly rewards. Though Moses was there at the transfiguration he never crossed over into the Promised land because of disobedience.
Numbers 20:10 - 12
10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock; and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for you out of this rock?” 11 Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.
12 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”
Moses was given the instruction, just to speak to the rock - never to strike it. Though his action was a response to provocation, the Man of God who had followed God's instructions so closely - stepped over into a fleshly act of disobedience.
This had a deeper imprecation, because many of the people in their state of unbelief would have had the fear of the Lord stirred in them.
Moses was no longer deemed as fit to lead the people into the promised land.
Lord help those of us who are leaders and ministers, to stay aligned to your perfect will. We are grateful for the dispensation of grace but Lord we ask you to give us all obedient hearts.
Show us Lord, if those repetitive patterns that have been established in our lives are a direct result of disobedience. We thank you for correcting and changing every mindset that would stop, block or hinder us from crossing over into your best blessings
In Jesus name
Amen
Walk good in Christ
Nuff love and blessings
