Topic: Mind the crowd
SCRIPTURE :Exodus 23:2
Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
MESSAGE FOR THE DAY: That something is popular doesn't make it proper, that something is trending doesn't make it right. Our text says do not follow a multitude to do evil. If you always want to please the crowd, you will certainly go astray. Never decide what's right and wrong by the number of people doing it. It is not godly because it's trending and it is not right because it is popular. If you live to please men, you will certainly sin against God. Aaron said the people pressured me to make them a god and I did, Saul said the people decided to spare the fattest animals to sacrifice to God. If you're always moved by the opinion of the multitude, you will go astray. Just because a lot of people are doing it doesn't make it right. Mind the influence of the crowd.
Election doesn't win the vote in matters of this kingdom, if it is not right in God's eyes, it is not right no matter how many people saying it. This is one of the errors of today's Christianity. We are very quick to jump on anything trending. Be careful what you allow influence your life, in the name of becoming knowledgeable, we are becoming more carnal. No matter the advancement, the word of God stands sure and must be our standard. Do not embrace everything you hear, that it sounds good doesn't make it right. Not even a situation should be allowed to modify our conviction. We trust in the Lord and His word not in the happenings around us. That someone's marriage failed doesn't make marriage a scam, be careful not to let the world modify your thoughts. Always vet every ideology through the lens of scriptures, if it is not consistent with the word of God, it is not reliable no matter how loud the world makes it. Mind the crowd, be careful not to allow them influence you.
Father, thank you for grace. Deliver us from the ideology of the world, may the ideas of the crowd not corrupt our godly mindset in Jesus precious Name
