Man’s Imperfection
Please take a minute to ponder the theme of this inspiration, Man’s Imperfection. How imperfect are we?
Imperfection is defined as, a state of being faulty or incomplete. It’s a blemish, weakness, defect or flaw. In other-words, it is a detail that makes something or someone less than perfect. Our imperfections are likened to a glass; the visibility of bubbles and water stains makes it imperfect. This damage spoils the appearance of a person or thing.
Genesis 1:26, “let us make man in our image, after our likeness; ….” The introduction of sin came through Adam and Eve, inevitably causing man’s imperfection. This resulted in humanities fallen state. Romans 3:23, “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.?” This imperfection, short-comings is both moral and spiritual. “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away,” Isaiah 64:6. This scripture illustrates humanities inadequacies.
We are in constant need of the Savior! The Bible declares in Deuteronomy 32:4, “He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgement: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He.” Every imperfection humanity has; we try to cover it up with a temporary fix. I beseech you today, “put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness,” Ephesians 4:24, daily.
God Bless.
