Living a life of Proof

Living a life of Proof

“Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord,” Ephesians 5:10. Saints of God, please take a little time to ponder these words.

I read this quote from a theologian, the meaning of being a Christian is that, in return for the gift of a whole Christ, we give our whole self to Him. To prove, is to actively and intentionally discern and understand what pleases God daily. It is to ascertain by test and experiment. Our walk must be living proof of the truth of God. Every course of action by a Christian must prove the existence of God in our lives.

Verse 10 of Ephesian 5 is in relation to verse 8 which says, “…. Walk as children of light.” Vs. 11 went on to say, “and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.” In order to prove, we have to have knowledge to show proof. Our proof is in accordance with our walk. The walk of a Christian is evidenced in the light that shines through us. Matthew :, “let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify you Father which is in Heaven.”

Is the proof of Christ obvious and visible in our lives? Vs. 9, suggests that walking in the fruit of the Spirit is proof. “Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance ….,” Galatians 5:22-23. Prove God today through your walk.

God Bless.
