Light and Darkness are the same to God

What can be hidden from God? I have to come the stark reality that nothing and I mean nothing, can be hidden from God. The fact is, God knows and sees our every move.

As Christians, we try to live a life of total transparency before God. The test, trials and temptations we face are inevitable. But many of us are of the belief that we can fool God or get one pass Him. Our God is omniscient! David said in Psalm 139:1, “O Lord, thou hast searched me and known me.”

In verse 12, he went on to say, “yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.” This speaks of God’s unobscured vision. Darkness here represents concealment and obscurity, it also speaks of disappointment, bereavement, trouble, care and losses.

“…. God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all,” 1 John 1:5. Psalm 36:9, “…. In thy light shall we see light.” God exposes everything in our life especially the things that are in darkness. God’s light acts as hope and reassurance that regardless of what we are going through, He is there with us. This serves as a reminder to us all that nothing can be hidden from God. God said in Genesis 1:3, “…. Let there be light: and there was light,” because “…. darkness was on the face of the deep, vs. 2. Saints, let us allow God’s light to have preeminence in our life.
