Have you changed your clothing since believing by Minister Owen Mitchell

Inspiration

When I became a believer in Christ Jesus and devoted my life totally to God, the transformation was not just on the inside but also on the outside. My hair was long and braided before conversion and I saw it as my strength. The Holy Spirit lead me to 1 Corinthians 11:14, “doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have his long hair, it is a shame unto him? The conviction that came with this scripture, lead to me cutting my hair.

Have you changed your clothes since you believed? This phrase is defined as moving from glory to glory, exchanging the old for the new. The new signifies the radiancy and the sparkling of God’s glory. Are we still wearing the same garments we were wearing when we accepted Christ? This principle is spiritual but manifests itself clearly in the natural.

“Then Pharoah sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came to Pharoah,” Genesis 41:14. When we move from darkness to light, there must be a change of clothes. That change of garments elevates us in the spiritual realms and manifest itself physically. Joseph was promoted to being governor of Egypt and Pharoah placed a ring on his finger and arrayed him in fine linen, vs. 42.

We need to cast off the old clothes and put on the new. We need to be vulnerable for faith to be active and alive in our hearts. The evidence of the old is in our Churches but God wants us to shed the dead clothes, so He can make us alive.

God Bless
