Why God is Revealed to Some & not Others?
Jesus explains that the mysteries of the kingdom are revealed to those who have been given the gift of spiritual understanding.
(Matthew 13:11)
The question of why God reveals Himself to some and not others is a complex and mysterious issue that has puzzled theologians, philosophers, and believers for centuries.
One possible explanation is that God's ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). His sovereignty and wisdom are beyond human comprehension, and He chooses to reveal Himself to whom He wills.
Free Will and Human Choice: Another perspective is that God respects human free will and choice. He may not force Himself upon those who are not seeking Him or who have hardened their hearts against Him.
Faith and Spiritual Seeking: The Bible suggests that those who earnestly seek God and have faith will find Him (Hebrews 11:6, Jeremiah 29:13). Perhaps those who experience revelations or epiphanies are those who have been seeking God with an open heart and mind.
Mystery of Grace: Ultimately, the reasons behind God's revelations or lack thereof remain a mystery of His grace. We can't fully comprehend why some experience profound spiritual encounters while others do not.*
Biblical Insights
Jesus says, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." (John 10:27)
Paul writes, "The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned."
(1 Corinthians 2:14)
While we can't fully understand why God reveals Himself to some and not others, we can trust in His sovereignty, wisdom, and love. Ultimately, faith is a mystery that involves both human seeking and divine revelation.
