God comforts those who mourn

Good morning dear friends

As I listened to the Lord carefully, many of us are in need of comfort and encouragement in this particular "season" of life. Different areas of our life may be causing us to feel hurt and wounded or trauma has spiralled us into deep grief and brokenness. Trauma, hurt, pain and woundedness is a reality of the LIFE and as Christians we are not at all exempt from this.

I can tell you for a certainty though - God is near to the brokenhearted and he comforts all who mourn.

May these verses encourage you and if you need specific prayer and support as you grieve we are here at Walk good in Christ to stand with and pray with you.

Let me remind you my friends there is not one thing that you walk through in this life that God will not use for his glory and our good. There is not one thing that will last forever. So this too shall pass.

Weeping endures for a night but Joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5)

Let’s see how Psalm 84:6-7 describes it:

“Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength.”

Here is an exposition of these verses

The word Baca is derived from the root, which means, “to weep” derived from some kind of balsam-tree from the ‘tears’ of gum it exudes. The Valley of Baca was some waterless and barren valley through which pilgrims passed on their sojourn to Jerusalem three times a year. The journey was perilous, difficult, fearful, and at times sorrowful. But when the rains came, this barren valley was refreshed and turned the dry plains into a glorious mass of grass and flowers; a lovely and glorious garden.

The valley of Baca is a metaphor of the dry, lonely, and hard places we encounter on our daily physical and spiritual pilgrimage through life

Flowing water comes to refresh and burst forth with new life. Throughout the New Testament there are several references to living water being the Holy Spirit. When we walk through bareness with the courage of faith and believing that God is with us on this pilgrimage, and that the Holy Spirit will spring forth new life, our adversity is turned into a blessing. Springs of living water bring forth refreshment even into the most painful and difficult circumstances. Ultimately the rain of the Holy Spirit takes us from strength to strength

Amen (here ends the exposition)

Now dear friends if you're going through a particular situation of grief or feeling wounded and broken hearted - cry out God, he will give you all you need at this time.

Here is all God will do for you at this time:

  • He stays close to you for he is near to the brokenhearted

  • He will comfort you. He comforts all who mourn

  • He will give you grace, strength and the peace that passes all understanding.

  • He will turn your situation around and make it beautiful in his time.

  • He WILL use every single pain we bear for a greater eternal purpose (2 Corinthians 4:17)

May these words encourage you, we all have seasons of grieving BUT GOD, BUT GOD, will bring us through, bring us out and cause us to overcome.

Amen

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again
