Freedom - the place where we let go and let God

Updated: Jun 9

Good morning friends

There is true freedom and liberty in Christ.

To walk in freedom though we need to stay alligned to the perfect will and plan and purpose God has for us. We must truly learn to let go of anything that would "pollute" our mind, heart, soul and disturb our peace. Each day we will have choices - to focus on disturbing negative experiences or to keep our focus on God. To let go and let God.

Think of it this way....God has ordained a pathway for us along the straight and narrow road. Anything on those side roads will cause "entanglement" and distraction as it will cause us to have to spend time dealing with issues that God never ordained in the first place.

One such thing I want to speak about this morning is unforgiveness which can even lead us leading us to praying imprecatory prayers.

How do we handle situations when someone hurt or wounded us(whether it be in the body of Christ or those in the world)?

The word clearly says we must bless our enemies and the research I did - the word enemies includes not only those in the household of faith. Do you know bless means to speak well off to confer God's will?

Luke 6:27 - 36 AMP

27 “But I say to you who hear [Me and pay attention to My words]: [h]Love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies, [make it a practice to] do good to those who hate you, 28 bless and show kindness to those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 Whoever [i]strikes you on the cheek, offer him the other one also [simply ignore insignificant insults or losses and do not bother to retaliate—maintain your dignity]. Whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. 30 Give to everyone who asks of you. [j]Whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. 31 Treat others the same way you want them to treat you. 32 If you [only] love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 If you lend [money] to those from whom you expect to receive [it back], what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners expecting to receive back the same amount. 35 But love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies, and do good, and lend, [k]expecting nothing in return; for your reward will be great (rich, abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High; because He Himself is kind and gracious and good to the ungrateful and the wicked. 36 Be merciful (responsive, compassionate, tender) just as your [heavenly] Father is merciful.

Lord help us to live by these principles

One will truly mirror Christ if we pray prayers like Christ on the cross "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do" not only that when you learn to leave things in the hands of God, you prove to God you can be trusted with a greater level of the anointing.

To carry the weight of the glory at deeper levels, you will be tested again and again in this particular area. God will watch carefully how you treat those who offend you, some of those very people, God will use you to minister salvation and blessing to them. Even your very prayers will make a difference in their life. Will you hold on to offences, hurt, pain or wounds or will you leave it in God's hands?

We let go and

We let God

We forgive and we forget.....

If we choose to keep those things they will be kept in our conscious, semi conscious and sub conscious memories (the dimension of the soul).

We want nothing in our soul to pollute our thinking, choices and emotions. All compartments in our heart and soul must be filled by the Spirit of God with his love - this happens when we wholeheartedly let go off those negative experiences and LET GOD (surrender all ie give up any wishes for vengeange and retaliation)

Psalm 119:165

KJV

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

AMP

Those who love Your law have great peace;

Nothing makes them stumble

Prayers

We ask you to do this deep work of sanctification in our heart and soul, Abbah Father. Purge us of anything of the old. Help us Lord to truly let go. Give us forgiving hearts. Cause us to stay fixed and focused so that you may be glorified in our lives. Fill our hearts with your Agape love. Cause us to be immovable and unshakeable rooted and grounded in your love

In Jesus name we pray

Amen

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again
