Endure into the promise

Updated: Apr 29

Good day friends

Great blessings to you.

Recently God has been speaking to me about endurance. He has fashioned patience and longsuffering in many of us and now he says endure. I will however encourage you to endure into something, not just endure into "emptiness". God is always up to something good, will you but just trust him. Everything about being in God is progressive - as we grow in him, we grow in influence and God blesses us in ever increasing measure. Lord give us the grace to wait, give us the grace to endure.

Listen to these words and meditate on them. Funny it is - it just occurred to me, I always wrote listen, not look at the words. Why? I expect you to hear God's voice and be motivated into action (that's listening) by the words written here.

Hebrews 10:36 (Amplified)

For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.

There is something to receive at the end of every single situation that confronts us - God’s promise dictated by his word, concerning that particular matter.

His promise (his answer) must be kept in our mind, heart and soul

If one does not expect change or goodness from God one will faint under the weight of the hardship we are walking (enduring) through.

Look to God with all faith, hope and trust - he is a good father who rewards faithfulness.

Now lets look more closely at endurance

Here is some adapted research:

Definition and Meaning:

The term "endure" in the biblical context refers to the ability to withstand hardship, adversity, or persecution with patience and perseverance. It is a virtue that is highly esteemed in Scripture, often associated with faithfulness and steadfastness in the face of trials.

Biblical Usage:

The concept of endurance is prevalent throughout the Bible, both in the Old and New Testaments. It is often linked with the idea of remaining faithful to God despite challenges and suffering

The Apostle Paul frequently encourages believers to endure hardships as a testament to their faith. In Romans 5:3-4, he writes, "Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope" .

The Epistle to the Hebrews also underscores the importance of endurance, particularly in the context of faith. Hebrews 12:1-2 exhorts believers to "run with endurance the race set out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith"

Theological Significance:

Endurance is seen as a fruit of the Holy Spirit's work in the life of a believer. It is not merely a human effort but a divine enablement that allows Christians to remain steadfast in their faith. James 1:2-4 encourages believers to "consider it pure joy... whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance" . This perseverance is integral to spiritual maturity and completeness.

Practical Implications:

For Christians, enduring trials is part of the sanctification process. It is through enduring hardships that believers grow in their faith and reliance on God. The call to endure is also a call to trust in God's sovereignty and goodness, even when circumstances are difficult. The Apostle Peter reminds believers that enduring suffering for doing good is commendable before God (1 Peter 2:20).

Amen here ends the adaptation

Many do not believe our rewards will be here on earth. I challenge you on that matter, because I have proved God rewards us openly for those good seeds sown.

Galatians 6:7 - 9 Amplified

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap. 8 For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in

Endure my friends endure....God has a great reward for you just ahead!

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again
