Crossing Over by Marcel & Jacqueline Bruff

Crossing Over.

As tomorrow becomes history and we stand at the threshold of 2026, believers are reminded of the powerful truth in Joshua's story. Crossing over into the Promised Land wasn't just a physical journey; it was a spiritual transition marked by God's miraculous intervention. Like the Israelites, we're crossing over from the old to the new, leaving behind what's past to embrace God's promises.

Lessons from Joshua's Crossing Over

Before entering the Promised Land, God spoke three critical words to Joshua:

1. "Fear not" – Trust in God's presence.

2. "No one shall be able to stand before you" – Confidence in God's power.

3. "I will be with you always." Assurance of God's faithfulness.

there will be parallels in 2026, God will bless the faithful, but judgement on the ungodly and unrepentant both negative and positive, nevertheless, God will, "give his angels charge over you to keep you least you dash your foot against a stone"

Three Things to AVOID Crossing Over

1. *Negative Self-Talk and Goals*

- Ditch the “I can’t” mindset.

- Avoid unrealistic expectations.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

(Philippians 4:13)

2. Unforgiveness and Bitterness

- Let go of grudges and past hurts.

- Forgiveness frees you.

“Forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

3. Comparing Yourself to Others

- Focus on your unique journey.

- Celebrate others’ wins.

“Let every man prove his own work.

(Galatians 6:4)

Three Things to Endeavor in the New Year 🙏🏾

1. Set Plans and Goals

- Align goals with your values.

- Track progress.

“Commit thy works unto the Lord.”

(Proverbs 16:3)

2. Prioritize Self-Care

- Nourish mind, body, soul.

- Practice self-compassion.

“Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

3. Cultivate Gratitude.

- Reflect on blessings daily.

- Invest in relationships.

“In everything thing give thanks.”

(1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we cross over into 2026, grant us courage like Joshua’s. Help us shed slave mindsets, embrace Your promises, and walk in faith. Fear not, for You are with us.

Amen 🙏🏾

Wishing you a blessed and fulfilling new year 2026!
