Beware!

While I was in deep meditation the other day, I reflected on the whole issue of moving according to the will of God. We are bombarded with decisions and making the right ones daily. We try our very best to use the Bible as our internal and external compass, morally and spiritually. But there is a new phenomenon, which is really not new, that isa prophet’s opinion. Many of these prophets are not divinely ordained, they are self-acclaimed. Our natural mind yearns for knowledge of the future and yearns for a prophetic word.

Satan has the ability to infiltrate even a Prophet, beware! The Prophetic ministry is part of the 5-fold ministry mentioned in Ephesians 4:11. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world,” 1 John 4:1. They are antichrists that are in the world, false prophets, that are Gnostics. Gnostics believes that salvation is found in our personal spiritual knowledge and not in Christ Jesus.

I was also led to 1 Kings 13 that speaks of the prophet that was deceived. The Lord sent the prophet to Bethel to release a word to the King and for him not to eat or drink from anyone. After the miracle that God did on Jeroboam, he invited the prophet home with him to freshen up. In verses 8-9 the prophet told the King no because God didn’t permit him to go. The sons of an older prophet saw what transpired with the King and told their dad. The old prophet found the other prophet and invited him home with him to eat and drink. He ended up going even though he was lied to, vs. 12-30.

The prophet did the opposite to what God asked him to do which led to his death. Beware!
