Being Divided

Mark 3:24-26, “and if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.”

My dear friends, please take some time to digest these integral words from the book of Mark. There is so much division among us; division in churches, marriages, Biblical division and the list goes on. Jesus used this illustration in response to the scribes who claimed, He was using the power of Beelzebob to cast out demons. Division causes disunity and disunity causes a fall and a fall, separates. Every ministry requires unity, Jesus works through unity, not division.

Jesus’ ministry was a demonstration of God’s power. I realize this power is not evident in us and in the churches. This signifies division. Many times, our differences and issues cause this division. “And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need for you. Or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you,” 1 Corinthians 12:21. If God has placed us together, the evidence of unity has to be present. This unity inevitably activates the power of God in our lives.

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity,” Psalm 133:1. If we possess unity we will dispense uniformity: oneness of life, truth, and way; and oneness in Christ Jesus.

God Bless.
