Are you producing fruit?

Dear friends

Great (not just good) day to you.

As I listened to the Lord carefully asking him what to say to his people these were the words he spoke ask them "What fruit are you bearing?"

Let me expound dear friends in harvest time (this season we are in) if you are not bearing fruit of any kind, then please go back to God and ask him to show you where you have gone wrong.

Let us come away from religious rituals and come into all God said. One needs a change of heart to come into inheritance and fruit bearing.

It is time to come away from the old and come into the new. Let us face the truth about ourselves and our walk with Christ. We must be effective for the Kingdom at this time.

Now let us define fruit.

Below I will share and adaptation

Defining what fruit is:

The word “fruit” itself is used over 60 times in the New Testament. The original Greek word used in the Bible is καρπός (karpos) and can be used both literally and figuratively.

A majority of the references to “fruit” in the Bible are meant figuratively, referring to the results of something, like “fruits of your labor.” One such mention can be seen in Matthew 13:23: “But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” In this passage, fruit is a metaphor for salvation, in the form of a person who hears the calling and reaps many, many times what they sow.

Fruit is also used as a metaphor for evangelism, like in John 4:35-36: “Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.” This passage teaches people that the goal of evangelism is helping people enter a new life with Christ – not to gain glory.

The Epistle to the Galatians also defined the concept of the “Fruit of the Holy Spirit.” There are nine fruits or must-have attributes for a person living in accordance with the Holy Spirit. They are:

  • Love

  • Joy

  • Peace

  • Patience

  • Kindness

  • Goodness

  • Faithfulness

  • Gentleness

  • Self-control

Amen (here ends the adaptation)

If after many years of being in Christ there is no fruit coming forth in your life, then perhaps one is in a place of complacency, lukewarmness and stagnation.

Ask God to search the heart and show you truth.

It is not difficult at all my friends to know who is really aligned to the Spirit of God. You simply know them by their fruit

The fruit of their character

The fruit of their prayers

The fruit in their family and relationships

The fruit coming from their gifts and talents

The fruit produced for the Kingdom - are you able to witness effectively and win souls for Christ?

Fruit producing is connected to the heart and Spirit of God.

John 15:5

Amplified Bible

[a]I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing

Let us face the truth today some of you are cut off from vital union with God and the sad part is you don't even know it.

Come into a place of sanctification before the Lord. It's not too late.

It is time for you to bear fruit.

I pray fervently for all reading this message to bear much fruit

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again

Pastor J
