Acknowledge Him in all your ways

I love you Jesus, I worship and adore you, I just want to tell you, that I love you more than anything. These are the first words of the song, more than anything. Sometimes I just have to stop all that I am doing and just say, I love you Jesus.

Proverbs 3:5-6, “trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy paths.” I have heard and also quoted these scripture verses many times. Pastors have preached extensively on them. But, with everything happening around us, even Christians are caught up in life’s uncertainties. We are blinded by the challenges we face and neglecting the fact that God has the answer to everything.

The Hebrew meaning for the word acknowledge, is to know, to own Him, to have Him always in view and not to take any step without His advice. It is recognizing God’s overruling providence and grace, which is there to shape and guide us. “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust,” Psalm 91:1-2.

Proverbs 3:6, finishes this way, “…. And He will direct thy paths.” Meaning; assist, provide and bless all our endeavors and insecurities. God will keep us from sin and destruction. Acknowledge Him today.
