Which side are you on?
Which side are you on, the side of fear or of faith? Fear administered by the devil or faith that’s from God? “Yea, thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me,” Psalm 23:4.
It is a fact, as Christians we go through times in our lives when we fall into fear. That doesn’t mean we have to buy a piece of its land and build a house on it. In my daily walk I try to maintain a life of faith but the truth is, I fail so many times. Since I became a Christian, I automatically found myself speaking these words to every situation, My God Is Able. This has helped me to rely on Him in everything.
Psalm 37:5, “commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him, and he shall bring it to pass.” Verse 7 says, “rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him, ….” When fear grips us, it is not the time for us to run into more fear but to run to God. Jonah ran and in running found himself in the belly of a big fish. Fear made him run but fear also made him cry out to the only One that could save him out of the predicament he was in. Which side are you on?
Psalm 23:4 exemplifies true Christian faith, being confident that our amazing God is able to take us through. God’s presence inspires our confidence, hope and the joy we need to overcome. In the midst of this dark, gloomy time, His light shines, exposing all the darts being thrown at us to overwhelm us. The enemy’s though is that fear which will drive us out of faith and into a life of defeat. Saints of God, I present to you God’s rod and His staff. The rod that leads and directs you out of fear and a staff that allows us to rest in faith.
God Bless.
