Where Does Your Trust Lie?
Micah 10:6, “for the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against their mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his house.”
“A man’s enemies are the men of his house,” think on these words this day. The prophet Micah prophesied these words over 2000 years ago and it is true for us today. We live a life of daily disappointments, people closest to us deceiving, backbiting us. But Micah said, “rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me,” verse 8.
Where does your trust lie? That is my question to us today. A Pastor told me that one of the open doors the enemy uses in the Church is jealousy. Many people within the Body carries a spirit of jealousy. Jealous of what the Lord is able to do through us. The enemy sees this and uses it to create division among us. The scripture today speak of sons dishonouring fathers, daughters against mothers and daughter-in-laws against mother-in-laws, your household. These are types of relationships within the Church today.
Micah in verse 7 said, “therefore I look upon the Lord,” in other-words, I will my trust in the Person that’s able to see me through. If we do not accept that these things are true, we will not call on Him. “They that trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever,” Psalm 125:1. Where does your trust lie?
God Bless.
