What is Your Heart Saying 2?

This past Christmas had me meditating much on the day and searching my inner self to see if they’re any reservations in my celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. I find myself repeatedly asking the question, “What is your heart saying”?

Pastor DePass encouraged us today by speaking about the difference between hearing and listening. Hearing is defined as the process, function or power of perceiving a sound. Listening is to hear something with thoughtful attention. What are you paying attention to?

One of the main strategies used in marketing is advertising. Advertising is basically a company’s efforts to build a brand’s awareness so as to drive sales. This is done by engaging potential and existing customers in a particular product. I found that satan is using the same strategy through the commercialization and the renunciation of Christmas. He is working to totally have us buy into his narrative of Christ. Paganizing and demonizing the day by repeatedly pushing this narrative in our faces through social media.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life,” John 3:16. Hence my question, what is your heart saying? Is He not worth celebrating? When this season arises, it brings an atmosphere of joy, giving, sharing, loving, even putting up with people and situations you wouldn’t normally put up with. What is your heart saying?
