What are You Carrying?

A question I often ask myself, “What are you carrying”? As children of God we are agents of change.

I listened intently as the preacher conveyed the message laid on his heart, “I am a Carrier of Change”. At the end of sermon it left me asking myself the question “What are you carrying Owen”? In Exodus 4:2, the Lord said to Moses, “…. what is that in thine hand ….?” You see, Moses had to convince the children of Israel that he was sent by God. Also, he was sent to show the Mighty Powers of our Lord and Savior.

When the Lord asked Moses what is in his hand, he answered by saying a rod. With that rod Moses did supernatural miracles. He brought the plagues on the Egyptians, he parted the red sea and by smiting the rock water came forth, providing drink for the thirsty Israelites. What are you carrying?

Isaiah 61:1, “the Spirit of the Lord is upon me; because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tiding to the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives. And the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” Is that which we are carrying laying dormant in us? The Lord prepared His disciples and sent them out to perform miracles, signs and wonders. Jesus Himself set the examples for us by doing miracles wherever He went. What are you carrying?

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father,” John 14:12.
