I love you Lord, for your mercies never fail me. All my days, I’ve been held in your hands. From the moment that I wake up until I lay my head, oh, I will sing of the goodness of God.
When I think about these words knowing that God’s mercies never fails, it is hard not to praise Him for the entire day. As the songwriter says, from the moment that I wake up until I lay my head. Lamentations 3:22-23, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion faileth not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” There is so much to give God praises for, especially knowing we are held in His hands.
While on a prayer line, one of my prayer partners was praying and she spoke of someone who came into her office and told her of God’s goodness and mercies toward her. She said, in the midst of covid, many of her fellow employees left the job and she was forced to take a 35% pay cut. To her surprise as covid went on, she had more monies in her bank account than before the pandemic. Isaiah 49:16, “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.” Verse 13 says, “sing, O Heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and breakforth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord has comforted His people, and will have mercy upon His afflicted.”
Saints of God, sing of God’s goodness and mercies today, sing and shout, give praises to the God who holds us in His righteous hands. Isaiah 41:10 declares, “fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Be encouraged today.
God Bless.
