Matthew 24:4
4 And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray.5 For (I)many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am (J)the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.
10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.11 Then(N)many false prophets will rise up and(O)deceive many
I refer to the word many.
Christ was speaking about his church. What could this mean?
There is no doubt that wickedness and lawlessness are on the rise.
I am encountering many who think they are connected to Christ but yet they are so far away from the heart of God.
Their hearts are so hardened in sin and yet they see nothing wrong with themselves.
Churches gather
Groups pray
They profess the name of God
Do good works but yet there is nothing of God in these places.
These people have a form of godliness but no power.
Jesus called us into greater works.
The truth is if there no power, then do not come from the place of sanctification with fasting and prayer, until God moves in your life.
If you are reading this post, then God is calling you into greater. I am praying you will receive the anointing to go in Jesus name.
I can testify that just the other day, I had been so distracted with work and work and work - my focus was shifting, as I was being distracted. Some nights I would like in bed and think of more work to do, and being concerned about monies and the things of this world. I did not slip back, but was not operating with the balance God wanted me to have. I did the 21 day fast and now I spend even more time in God's presence and God has also brought me into a greater dimension of intercession.
I am first and foremost a Pastor/Prophetess, a shepherd to God's people. I cannot be but who God made me to be and there is great need for me to intercede, to lead and guide God's people at this time. All other I do is short term into the long term vision of full time ministry that God called me into. I do not believe like some that you should beg your way into a grandiose life, but we should use all our gifts and talents to be financially viable, so we can build God's kingdom effectively, as money answereth all things (Ecclesiastes 10:19)
There is great need for us to be in position and be effective in building for God at this time. You may not be in the forefront preaching, but your prayers anointed by the holy spirit, prayed in alignment and agreement with God's perfect will....will make a big difference at this time.
So how do we guard against not being a part of the many being deceived or offended?
1 Submit ourselves daily and willingly to God's pruning and refinement....you are are a work in progress and when you understand that your first prayer will be show me Lord, cleanse me Lord, grow me Lord. I want more of you Lord and let there be less of me. Amen
2 Study God's word carefully - that is how you will know God and it will also be your guide. The more you grow in revelation of the word is the more you will grow in God and the changes will be effected in you, as you do the word and not only hear
James 1
22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror.24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.
The word will also be the measure for those who come in the name of the Lord, that is the measure of truth - God's word
3 Make yourself accountable and don't just have people around who will flatter you. Have individuals with the Spirit of truth, ask God for these people in your life. He doesn't want you as a "lone ranger".
I recently got this revelation:
On the two instances that David commited "big" sin - numbering Israel and committing adultery and murder. God sent prophets to speak to David about his sin. Why? Sin hardens your heart and causes blindness to come upon you. God in his mercy sent the Prophets Dan and Nathan.
I have seen Pastors and leaders fall and even when God sent others to speak, they did not listen.
They had grown so much in pride because they functioned in the power gifts and they did not have a teachable spirit.
Let us ask God to give us humility and to give us teachable spirits, no matter where we grow to in God.
Amen
Well that is a lot said today.
I pray this will bless you
Walk Good in Christ
till we meet again
