As I suffer through a cold the first in many years.....I was awakened during the early hours of the morning with this song that I will share with you below:
"Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy one
Give thanks"
I begun in deep thought and prayer, is it possible to give thanks even in our suffering? It is!
That is when we have truly "grown up" in Christ. Automatically when we give God thanksgiving it will flow into praise. Our Praise and thanksgiving is not ordered by anything in this world. Our Praise and thanksgiving is not offered only when things are good and we are experiencing the mountain top life. Our Praise belongs to God, because he alone is worthy of our best Praise at all times.
I began to think of the great Patriachs and Matriachs and they were certainly great factors in displaying the Praise factor to this awesome majestic God.
Here are some examples:
King David says
Psalm 34 - I will bless the Lord at all times his Praise shall continually be in my mouth.
This after he had narrowly escaped death by pretending to be mad
Job's words
Job 1:21
He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The LORD gave me what I had, and the LORD has taken it away. Praise the name of the LORD!”
He confessed those words after loosing his children and wordly possessions.
And finally
Paul and Silas in the prison.
Acts 16:25 - 26
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
What are you waiting for dear friends? Praise God right now and continue walking with Thanksgiving. The bands of wickedness will be loosed and the prison doors will be opened.
When you can praise him in the face of adversity
When you can give him Thanksgiving no matter what - you are ready, abiding in God and heaven ward bound.
1 Thessalonians 5:16 - 18
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Amen
Praise causes us to enter God's courts, where we can petition him for all our needs and to make Intercession for others.
Praise causes us to abide in God's presence and that is where we need to be - to garner strength, grace, love comfort and find answers.
There is no better place to be, than to be IN HIM
AMEN
Walk good in Christ
Praise your way through
Amen
