Good morning beloved
My desire above all else is to KNOW God.
The Hebrew verb for knowing God is YADA and it connotes intimacy.
Here is a brief adaptation to give you a greater understanding of what YADA means:
Yada (יָדַע), a Hebrew verb appearing over 900 times in the Old Testament, means "to know," but signifies deep, experiential, and intimate knowledge rather than just intellectual awareness
Key aspects of yada in the Bible include:
Intimate Knowledge of God: It refers to knowing God through experience, faithfulness, and relationship, as in Hosea 6:3.
Deep Relationship: It goes beyond surface-level information to imply a profound connection, such as God knowing individuals
Sexual Intimacy: It is used euphemistically to describe sexual intercourse, representing a, covenantal union.
Distinguishing Good and Evil: It is used in the context of moral awareness and understanding.
Here ends the adaptation
Hosea 6:3
Amplified Bible
3 So let us know and become personally acquainted with Him; let us press on to know and understand fully the [greatness of the] Lord [to honor, heed, and deeply cherish Him].
His appearing is prepared and is as certain as the dawn,
And He will come to us [in salvation] like the [heavy] rain,
Like the spring rain watering the earth
Dear friends let us reflect deeply on what life is all about. All we see today is temporal, all our efforts are futile if we do not end with knowing God.
Remember LIFE - defined as these few years we have here on earth, is really a time of preparation for eternity.
Our "evolution" (the gradual development of something) is to cause us to become more Christlike and that process involves the discovery of God in not just a theological intellectual way but in an experiential intimate way. Experiential means we grow to knowing and proving him as Shalom, Jireh, Shammah...our everything.
For what purpose though - to experience the fullness of the glory of God the Father. When we do experience him this way, we will want and desire nothing of the base, carnal, earthly things. We become desperate and thirsty for him. Our cry like David will be:
Psalm 42
1 As the deer pants [longingly] for the water brooks,
So my [a]soul pants [longingly] for You, O God.
2
My soul (my life, my inner self) thirsts for God, for the living God.
When will I come and see the face of God?
Let us look to God wholeheartedly, may we seek him desperately, for AS WE SEEK HIM, WE SHALL FIND HIM
May we like Paul the Apostle bring our focus and efforts into KNOWING GOD
1 Corinthians 2
1 And when I came to you, brothers and sisters, proclaiming to you the [a]testimony of God [concerning salvation through Christ], I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom [no lofty words of eloquence or of philosophy as a Greek orator might do]; 2 for I made the decision to [b]know nothing [that is, to forego philosophical or theological discussions regarding inconsequential things and opinions while] among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified [and the meaning of His redemptive, substitutionary death and His resurrection]. 3 I came to you in [a state of] weakness and fear and great trembling. 4 And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom [using clever rhetoric], but [they were delivered] in demonstration of the [Holy] Spirit [operating through me] and of [His] power [stirring the minds of the listeners and persuading them], 5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom and rhetoric of men, but on the power of God.
Amen our priority today and everyday is to seek God, to find him and to know him
Amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
