Scripture and Science

True Science Corroborates Scriptures, It Doesn't Contradict It.
The relationship between science and Scripture has often been a topic of debate.
However, when understood correctly, true science and the Bible are not in conflict. In fact, many scientific discoveries have corroborated biblical accounts, demonstrating the harmony between faith and reason.
Three Points of Corroboration
1. The Flood. The biblical account of a global flood (Genesis 6-9) is supported by geological evidence, such as widespread flood deposits and water-transported fossils (Matthew 24:37-39).
2. The Origin of Life. The Bible states that life was created by God (Genesis 1:20-27, Psalm 104:24). Scientific discoveries in biology and genetics have revealed the incredible complexity of life, pointing to an intelligent designer (Romans 1:20).
3. The Universe's Design. The Bible describes the universe as finely tuned, with precise constants and laws (Genesis 1:1, Psalm 19:1-6). Scientific discoveries have confirmed this, revealing the universe's intricate design and order (Isaiah 40:26).
Humanism!
Human technology advancement as well as humanism in public education system, and the New Age Movement have enthroned man and dethroned God, who is the ultimate authority of life and human wisdom. Unfortunately spiritual relevance has been pushed to the back seat, and technically sophistication is riding global worldview.
While our power of reason works in the physical realm, the are frequently faulty in the spiritual realm.
We cannot always come to reasonable conclusions about the things of God.
Belief in the Creator doesn't come by human reason it comes by faith. See Ephesians 2:8.
1. True science seeks to understand God's creation, revealing His glory and wisdom.
2. The Bible provides a foundation for scientific inquiry, encouraging exploration and discovery.
3. Faith and reason are complementary, not contradictory, in understanding God's world.
1. How can we reconcile apparent contradictions between scientific theories and biblical accounts?
2. What role should Scripture play in shaping our understanding of scientific discoveries?
3. How can we use science to deepen our appreciation for God's creation?
"For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." - Proverbs 2:6 (NIV)
This verse reminds us that true wisdom and understanding come from God, guiding our pursuit of knowledge and faith.
