Good morning dear friends
God is calling us as his children into greater accountability for the things we speak out of our mouths.
Is our speaking activating responses from the Kingdom of Heaven or the Kingdom of Darkness?
There are promises we need to crossover into which have been delayed and hindered because of the things we have spoken out of our mouths and then we might be feeling frustrated wondering why we are waiting so long.
In this particular season we will truly HAVE WHAT WE SAY (Mark 11:23) concerning ourselves, finances, marriage, children all areas of our lives.
We also need to think, how many Peters we could have "birthed" like Jesus did when he encountered Peter BEFORE he was fully converted (Luke 22:31 - 34) but instead of speaking alligned to God's perfect will we spoke what we saw.
God help us to really grow in this area.
I found this amazing as I started to search...so many scripture verses about right speaking.
Here are a few:
Proverbs 12:13/14
13 The wicked is ensnared by the transgression of his lips,
But the righteous will come through trouble.
14 A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, And the recompense of a man’s hands will be rendered to him
Luke 6:45
45 The [intrinsically] good man produces what is good and honorable and moral out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart; and the [intrinsically] evil man produces what is wicked and depraved out of the evil [in his heart]; for his mouth speaks from the overflow of his heart
Ephesians 4:29
Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak].
Proverbs 13:3
The one who guards his mouth [thinking before he speaks] protects his life;
The one who opens his lips wide [and chatters without thinking] comes to ruin
Proverbs 15:4
A soothing tongue [speaking words that build up and encourage] is a tree of life,
But a perversive tongue [speaking words that overwhelm and depress] crushes the spirit.
Matthew 12:36
But I tell you, on the day of judgment people will have to give an accounting for every careless or useless word they speak.
These are just a few indeed there are hundreds in the word of God
It is amazing too as I journeyed in the last few weeks, I found how many times I had to catch myself as I was about to speak something that was not in God's will.
You see my friends we are totally responsible for those things we speak out of our mouths, we cannot just say we were angry so we spoke these words, or the devil made me do. We are responsible.
It is very necessary for us to repent daily of sin in thought, word and deed, also sin known and unknown.
I have recently prayed and asked God to bridle my tongue and put a check on me before I speak the wrong thing. It is a very simple prayer to pray but if you ask God he will certainly do it.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalm 19:14)
Now I "stumbled" upon two things this week that I will share with you here. I say stumble but I think it is what God wanted me to see and share with you. As I started preparing this message a few days ago and then these came up.
The first one is cells respond to sound!
Here is the link on the matter but I will just share a brief synopsis:
