The Word by Minister Owen Mitchell

The word was spoken and the world came into existence. The word was spoken and life was given, the life of humans, the life of animals.

Whenever the word is spoken and executed it brings great success and rewards. This word can only be spoken by God. This word after being spoken becomes a seed planted in us. The Bible is a compilation of words spoken by God, “all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works,” 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

All the patriarchs of the Bible moved according to a word given by God. When the Lord spoke to Abraham that Sarah his wife will give birth to a son, she laughed, Genesis 18:12. Sarah laughed because herself and her husband were of age. Sarah and Abraham always wanted a child and Sarah couldn’t get pregnant, 16:2. The word came to Abraham that, “…. thou shalt be a father of many nations,” 17:4. When Abraham started his journey he was 75 years old, he got the word of a son at age 90 and Sarah conceived when he was 100 years of age.

This word started from the age of 75 in 12:2 when God called Abram and said to him, “…. I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.” Many of us have forfeited the word given to us by God because of the time that has elapsed. It took 25 years for the promise of a child to come to fruition for Abraham and Sarah. When the word is spoken, a promise is given, wait for it because it can take up to 25 years or more. Just believe the word.
