The life more abundantly pathway begins with....

Good morning my friends I started off my morning with such busyness but as usual my first priority is God and listening to him allowing him to lead me and guide me.

I heard his still small voice speaking saying speak to my people about "Taking responsibility, because that's where repentance begins"

I must tell you my friends repentance is a beautiful glorious "thing". It causes one to move from the pathway heading to consequences and destruction. Into the pathway of newness of life and the life more abundantly.

I ask God daily to show me truth about myself and honestly the greatest fear I would ever have would be to walk in blindness, not to see truth about myself and not be connected to the heart and Spirit of God. It alarms me the many I counsel who are walking through consequences of their choices and do not want to at all hear the root cause of their problems.

Please note God removed his Spirit from Samson and the word says he did not know God had left him (Judges 16:20)

The new pathway with God and into blessing begins with Repentance which begins with taking responsibility. Taking responsibility means one no longer blames a parent, a spouse, a relative anyone at all for their standing and sin.

Here are a few examples of how the "blame factor" may work:

1 My spouse refuses sex or is unloving to me, so I will commit adultery

2 So many people hurt me, so I will not allow anyone else in (fostering a Spirit of resentment and bitterness unknowingly)

3 I am single and alone, so I have a right to masturbate and fornicate

4 Christian leaders and church people have hurt me so much, I can't even find God or know him

So many more examples given. If you find yourself going before God and giving reasons for sin (making excuses), please stop now.

Probably that's why one may not hear God's voice with clarity or is not able to manifest God's power as an effective witness

God wants you to walk on a new pathway of freedom into the life more abundantly.

The truth shall set one free. Not your truth or the world's truth but God's truth.

The first work of the Holy Spirit is Holy Conviction to bring one into repentance, because if you do not deal your personal sin first one cannot get close and intimate with God

Prayer

Lord I come before you today, humbling myself. I want to be close to you Abbah Father, I want to know you Lord. I take responsibility for sin both my sin and the sin of my forefathers and ancestors. I refuse to walk on any pathway that leads me away from the straight and narrow pathway. I want nothing of sin Lord. I renounce and denounce every connection with the Kingdom of darkness. Show me truth about myself Lord. Deliver me of all evil and keep me from temptation.

I am yours Lord I surrender all
