The Involvement of Jesus Produces the Best End Product

“And he saith unto him, every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have drunk, then that which is worse: but ye have kept the good wine until now (last),” John 2:10. “This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory: and His disciples believed on Him,” vs. 11.

This miracle is recorded only in the book of John and is considered as the miracle that revealed the glory of God. Also, it demonstrates Jesus’ power to transform. Anything that comes in contact with Jesus cannot remain the same. James says in James 1:17, “every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, ….” Jesus’ involvement only speaks of the best.

Saints of God, spiritually and symbolically this miracle points to Jesus and the inception of Him produces the best end product. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Jesus presented Himself to the ruler of the feast and the people in Cana and showed who He was from the beginning. “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death,” Proverbs 14:12. The way of the Lord produces perfection; that which we strive for spiritually. Symbolically, this scripture speaks to drunkenness as a life without Jesus. Drunkenness leads to blindness, cognitive disabilities, socially impaired, which eventually leads to death. Jesus is life, choose life today.
