The Gospel Unifies by Minister Owen Mitchell

Society has perpetuated divisions among us through countries, communities, ethnicity, financial status and race. But, Galatians 3:28 states, “there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female, for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Christians have also joined in this mechanism satan has concocted to create this division. The atmosphere is tainted with the thought of elites, who are the privileged and the poor, the not so privileged. Leaders in society speak of classes, upper, middle and lower and how dependent the lower should be on the upper. To the extent of creating a geographic living arrangement; your class dictates where you reside. Thank God for Jesus Christ!

Saints, it is at the stage where it’s coming from even the pulpit, this very sacred place of God. The Church must be an example, an example of God. Even though we go through our wilderness experiences, eating what is being fed to pigs, being thrown in fiery furnace and lion’s den. Even though we are beaten, battered and bruised, bitten by venomous snake or caught in tempestuous winds, the Lord say be separated. “Wherefore come from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean things; and I will receive you,” 2 Corinthians 6:17.

This division the enemy has strategically set up, has created hate all around us but the gospel creates unity. I thank God for the gospel which is the good news of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. Thank God that Jesus has broken down the wall of partisan and said, “it is finished.” What a beauty knowing that we have One that we can depend on and that we are not separated by race, ethnicity or status but in Him we are all equal.

God Bless.
