Good morning beloved
I began to think on this recently all of us who accept Christ are commissioned to Evangelise (Matthew 19
But there are some of us - who like Jonah, we will be led only on a Pathway to fulfill that particular assignment - all other pathways will lead to discomfort and unrest. God will not make those places of "trying to runaway" comfortable at all.
I used to be one of those (lol)
What was the difference with Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and Jonah?
Why did God "arrest" Jonah as he tried to get away?
God created and called some of us to speak to nations.
Here are the very words of Jeremiah
Jeremiah 1:4/5
4 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument],
And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own];
I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah's response:
6 Then I said, “Ah, Lord God!
Behold, I do not know how to speak,
For I am [only] a young man.”
7 But the Lord said to me,
“Do not say, ‘I am [only] a young man,’
Because everywhere I send you, you shall go,
And whatever I command you, you shall speak.
8 "Do not be afraid of them [or their hostile faces],
For I am with you [always] to protect you and deliver you,” says the Lord.
9 Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me,
“Behold (hear Me), I have put My words in your mouth.
10 “See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms,
To uproot and break down,
To destroy and to overthrow,
To build and to plant.”
When God calls us, can we but do anything less than what he says?
Until we find our assignment and fulfill that calling, life will be empty and futile.
Trying to fill our lives with things of this world will only lead to a place of frustration.
This is the time when God is calling forth and equipping his end time army.
Our response begins with surrendering all, not some areas of our lives, but all areas.
The next step is simply to repent and forsake sin ask God to give you a repentant heart (he sure will).
I ask this for myself and any others who God bids me to pray for - give us the The Spirits of Truth, Reverential Fear of the Lord and Obedience.
Here is an adaptation on The Reverential Fear of the Lord
Reverential fear, often referred to as the "fear of the Lord," is a profound respect and awe for God, recognizing His supreme authority, holiness, and power. It is not a fear that leads to terror or dread but rather a deep-seated reverence that acknowledges God's majesty and righteousness. This fear is foundational to a believer's relationship with God, guiding their actions, thoughts, and worship.
Biblical Foundation:
The concept of reverential fear is deeply rooted in Scripture, where it is portrayed as the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. Proverbs 9:10 states, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." This fear is not merely an emotional response but a recognition of God's rightful place in the universe and in the life of the believer.
Amen here ends the adaptation
I have seen so many walk their own way including Church leaders and a state of "blindness" comes, walking with a hardness of heart (indeed this is what sin is described as) and then a short-time after, I have seen them walking IN THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR CHOICES.
Then at that time they cried out again and again, but - though saved and "making it in" they had to walk through the consequences of their choices.
THESE EXPERIENCES REALLY TAUGHT ME TO FEAR GOD to desperately ask God do not take your Spirit from me oh God (Psalm 51), show me Lord if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting (Psalm 139) and finally
Psalm 19
Who can discern his errors?
Declare me innocent from hidden faults.
13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins;
let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless,
and innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer
This really should teach us the Fear of God
Can a man hide himself in secret place so that I cannot see him? declares the LORD Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord?’ Jer 23:24.
Absolutely nothing can be hidden from God, no sin, no lie, nothing is hidden from him - he is the all-seeing, all-knowing God.
He is the sovereign Lord - he rules and he reigns in victory, he is the all powerful, allmighty God.
I pray that God will not find us wanting in the balances.
Here is the thing my friends when we live a lifestyly of worship and practise the presence of the Lord, sin becomes an uncomfortable place.
Let us stay connected to the Vine, for me resting, coonecting with and being held in the everlasting arms of the Father, is the place to be prized above all else on earth.
May we live move and breathe in Christ.
There is no better place to be, as this temporal World is simply preparation for eternity spent with Abbah.
I can truthfully say
I AM LOST WITHOUT GOD
BUT EXPERIENCING THE BEST LIFE HERE AND NOW
FOUND IN GOD
Amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
