“For who in the Heaven can be compared unto the Lord? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord? God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about Him,” Psalm 89:6&7.
I am in so much admiration and awe of our Lord and Savior. “I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations,” Psalm 89:1. When I think of the goodness of God, when I think of His creation, when I think of all the miracles He has done and is doing in our lives, when I think of His grace and mercies, I inevitably reverence Him.
I read this definition of reverence; an outward manifestation of a feeling or attitude of deep respect and awe. Everything that’s manifested is evident, visible through our actions. Our attitude of deep respect for God can never be a one time thing because we are always in awe of Him. With this attitude comes continuous praise, worship and thanksgiving.
When I think of the beauty of the world, the beauty that every country and island possess, my mind gravitates to the person who created it all, our Lord. “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein. For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods,” Psalm 24:1-2. Can we just reverence the Lord today for who He is?
God Bless.
