Mercy rewrote my life by Minister Owen Mitchell

Mercy Rewrote My Life!

Yes for years, I traveled a road all wrong, my heart had lost its joy and its song. Then Grace, it placed me right back where I belong, when Mercy rewrote my life.

In 2 Chronicles 32:33, we read of the death of Hezekiah, King of Jerusalem, “…. and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.” In chapter 33 verse 2 it says, Manasseh “…. did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord ….” Every high place and every grove that Hezekiah broke down, Manasseh rebuilt. He not just rebuilt them but worshiped them. He also build altars, carved images and idols within the house of the Lord.

“So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the Lord had destroyed ….,” verse 9. The Lord spake to Manasseh but he would not harken. So the Lord allowed the King of Assyria to bound him with fetters, to place him among thorns and carry him to Babylon. But Mercy rewrote Manasseh’s life!

In the midst of Manasseh’s afflictions he humbled himself, prayed with all prayer and supplication. The Lord heard him and restored to him everything. Is there any groves, any altars, any idols we have set up in our lives that has taken precedence over God? Things that have caused us to err from the Lord, turn to Mercy today, He wants to rewrite our life. To the backslider, to the unsaved, God wants to rewrite your lives.

God bless.
