Low Hanging Fruits by Jacqueline and Marcel Bruff

In the vast orchard of God's kingdom, the "low-hanging fruits" represent the souls ripe for harvest, often overlooked and undervalued. They're the neighbors, coworkers, and acquaintances living parallel lives, unaware of the transformative power of Jesus Christ. As believers, we're called to identify and gather these fruits, demonstrating God's love and compassion.

The Church's Backyard.

Ministering outside the church walls can be daunting, but it's where the real harvest happens. James 1:27 reminds us, "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." The marginalized, the broken, and the lost are often right at our doorstep, waiting for someone to show them God's love.

Identifying the Low-Hanging Fruits:

1. The Curious! Those asking questions, seeking answers, and exploring spirituality.

2. The Hurting! Individuals facing trials, pain, and uncertainty, yearning for comfort and hope.

3. The Open Doors! People with open hearts, receptive to God's message and willing to listen.

Motivation and Inspiration

- Love! God's love compels us to share the Good News (2 Corinthians 5:14).

- Obedience! Jesus commanded us to "go and make disciples" (Matthew 28:19-20).

- Harvest. The harvest is plentiful, but laborers are few (Matthew 9:37-38).

The Great Work

As we venture into our communities, we're not just sharing a message; we're offering a lifeline. We're demonstrating God's love through acts of kindness, service, and compassion. We're bridging the gap between the church and the world.

Take a moment to reflect:

- Who are the low-hanging fruits in your life?

- How can you demonstrate God's love to them?

- What's holding you back from sharing the Gospel?

Dear Heavenly Father, open our eyes to the souls around us. Give us the courage to step out, share Your love, and gather the low-hanging fruits, near and visible around us. May our churches be an oasis, may our saints light and salt, shining and with favour in their respective communities, and may souls see Your glory and grace, then transformed by Your power.

Amen 🙏🏾.
