Good morning Beloved

How do we deal with offenses?

Every one of us will suffer hurt and pain at one time or another. Some of us many times.

How we deal with this can actually move us into the place of being offended, wounded and bitter.

Let us at all times resolve in our heart to first take the way of peace and take our issues to God for resolution and healing.

If the true love of God is in our heart, then it will not be moved by hurt. We must learn to cover the "sin" against us.

1 Peter 4

7 The end and culmination of all things is near. Therefore, be sound-minded and self-controlled for the purpose of prayer [staying balanced and focused on the things of God so that your communication will be clear, reasonable, specific and pleasing to Him.] 8 Above all, have [c]fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins [it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others].

Give us the grace Lord to do what you require.

Covering could mean the following

1 We overlook the wrong - shake it off

2 We extend "underserved" mercy. As Christ did for us. So should we do

For to the merciful God will show himself to be merciful.

3 The wrong done might be quite "heinous" and unjust. It will not be so easy to shake-off but we must we must we must forgive and take it to God for him to heal us and tell us what to do next.

God may say leave it in his hands

He may say pray about it. Biblical instruction tells us to pray for those who persecute and spitefully use us.

Or God may say CARE-front it (not confront the difference is God’s loving standard) according to the principles outlined in Matthew 18:15 - 17

Even after dealing with it - Cover never condemn the other or speak about them in a vile way.

The other's life doesn't "end" in any way there because they hurt or wounded YOU.

In fact your "care-fronting" may have brought such truth and repentance that they overcame a particular flaw so God can use them effectively.

Remember too sometimes we hurt others

Cover and not expose - those are the ways of true Agape love and those ways please God.

Amen

Please note the word even say A MULTITUDE of sins.

That means many sins.

Lord help us to obey you at all times

Help us to keep our eyes fixed and focused on you and on eternity with you.

We will not get caught displaced or distracted by things others do to us. We will not stumble. We will continue to
