Let God arise by Minister Owen Mitchell

Give me Jesus in the morning, give me Jesus in the evening, every minute of the day give me Jesus. He’s my reason for living, He’s my source of survival, every minute of the day give me Jesus.

“Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? The Kings of the earth set themselves, and the rules take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us,” Psalm 2:1-3. Let God arise!

The battle is raging, he who has eyes to see I pray they will see. See what the world has become today and see what is considered as the new norm. We are bombarded with the things and issues that surrounds us but I am here to say today, LET GOD ARISE! Jesus Christ our Lord has set the precedence for us when He walk this earth. He faced torture, beatings, lewdness, lying, He faced unbelief and deception, nevertheless He completed His journey. The songwriter penned it this way, Turn your eyes on Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of the earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.

Luke, the writer of Acts echoed Psalm 2 in Acts 4:25, when the people, rulers and kings came up against Peter and John. It’s amazing that even though these men of God faced persecution, they realized it wasn’t about them. It was about stopping the good news of Jesus Christ being spread, Acts 4:27. Psalm 68:1-2 suggested that we should, “Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered: let them also that hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: …. But let the righteous be glad: ….”

God Bless.
